To Be B or Not To Be a B

Originally, the word bitch was meant to describe a female dog in heat.

It was also said as an insult to women.
At first, it was if the woman was naggy or rude or whatever others perceived as not going along with things good enough.

But, later, some women decided bitch was a good title.
Being
In
Total
Control
Honey

They embraced their bitch.

Is bitch even a bad word anymore?
I think it depends who you ask.
My mother would say yes.
My daughter~ probably not.

Honeyman told me years ago that every woman had a bit of bitch in them.
Fair enough.
I am fairly certain every man has an ahole lurking in them somewhere.

We may not have ever seen it, but if we ask around, I am sure someone has.

Sometimes, you just gotta be that person.
Nice will not always get you where you need to go.
But being a bitch may.

Let that bitch free!

  3. My inner bitch is sending you high fives! My outer bitch busy…
    I've got a look I do… my daughter says it's terrifying… when someone's pissing me off.
I wish I could bottle it - I'd be a millionaire bitch! LOL

Great B post… to be… I'll take that one please.

  4. Probably depends on the tone of the voice calling you a bitch. I may be bitchy at times, but I don't like being called a bitch :)

  6. Heehee, love it! My daughter's dance team use it for a motivating cheer before going on stage. They put their hands in a circle, do the 1-2-3 thing and yell "Move Bitch"!

  7. I tell my kids that their dog is a son of a bitch.
They don't find Dad all that funny.

    1. Even if you say "son of a bastard" it still is a derogatory statement against women. There really isn't a stand alone cuss name just for men… not fair.

I'm having a big pout going on here… might have to pour another drink, and drown in my bitchiness.

    2. Al, kids seldom find their parents funny, even when we have some good zingers.
Just point out that you are not wrong.

  8. I like that slogan. You should market bumper stickers, magnets, and t-shirts that say, "Let the bitch free!"

  9. Yes, all men have an a-hole in them. I keep mine down below!
I don't understand how the word bitch got transferred to ornery women.
If a bitch is a dog in heat or a dog who wants to have sex then the term bitch should have translated to a woman who wants to have sex.
We could then use that as a positive descriptor on the dating websites. It would have a much better ring.

    1. Jeff, I never quite got that either. But, I don't understand a lot of things.
LOL, that would be a great ad!

    2. Yeah, but if I called Mrs. Penwasser a bitch, the chances of me having sex...?
I guess I'd have to be a handyman.
